Ted Lasso tops Parrot’s top 10 for Ireland
The return of the third series of Apple TV+ Original Ted Lasso has proved popular among audiences in Ireland, landing top spot on Parrot Analytics’ originals in-demand chart for the week ending April 23- 29 April.
Parrot Analytics analyses the demand for recent popular digital titles across international markets, based on the application of artificial intelligence to expressions of demand across social media, fan sites, peer-to-peer protocols and file-sharing platforms.
Parrot’s dataset compares the demand that exists for each series in this market, against the average TV show. A difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.
Ted Lasso, Apple TV+ football comedy-drama series was the front runner, attracting 21.05 times the demand of an average show.
In second position with 17.85 times the demand of an average show, Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian beats Paramount+ sci-fi drama Star Trek: Picard which took 15.82 times the demand of an average show.
On this rare occasion Netflix failed to take stop spots on the chart, with the streamer’s kids animated show Bebefinn and latest hit drama Beef arriving in fifth and seven place respectively.
Another appearance on the chart from Apple TV+ with Carpool Karaoke: The Series secures the streamer fourth place, while Paramount+ thriller Rabbit Hole comes in eighth.
Elsewhere Facebook Watch’s Nas Daily , Amazon Prime Video’s Hostel Daze and Peacock’s Poker Face each feature once on the chart, with the latter two coming in last place
