ProSiebenSat.1 names ex-United Internet finance chief as CFO

Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 Media has appointed Martin Mildner as its new chief financial officer.

Mildner, who will take up his post on May 1, was most recently CFO of MDAX-listed service provider United Internet AG and had successfully taken the Group subsidiary IONOS public. Prior to this, he was General Counsel and head of M&A at the Hamburg-based Otto Group where he was responsible, among other things, for setting up and preparing the IPO of e-commerce outfit About You.

His appointment follows the resignation of Ralf Peter Gierig, who is leaving by “mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board”, according to ProSiebenSat.1.

The company said Gierig played a key role in shaping the finance department, successfully positioning the Group on the capital market and setting up ProSiebenSat.1’s financing in a stable and long-term manner.
