My5 lands on SkyGlass and Sky Stream

UK public service broadcaster Channel 5 has launched its ad-supported streamer My5 on SkyGlass and Sky Stream earlier this week.

The platform offers catch-up and extended on-demand access to a range of Channel 5 content and the broadcaster’s channels 5Star, 5USA, 5Select and 5Action.

On Sky Glass and Sky Stream viewers will be able to access My5 via the apps rail on the home page, via the apps and inputs menu or can use the voice tool to say ‘Hello Sky My 5’ on Glass or via the voice button on your Sky Glass or Sky Stream remote.

Sky Customers who add programmes from Channel 5 to their playlist, will now playback from the My5 app, similar to BBC, ITVX, STV Player and All4.

My5 slate line-up includes new Channel 5 commissions Ruby Wax: Castaway and psychological thriller The Catch, as well as kids’ favourites, Paw Patrol, Pip and Posy and more.

My5 saw its third consecutive year of growth across streams and watch time with its drama slate a key growth for the platform. It mirrors the success on the linear channel.
