M6 extends 6play max to new devices with Bedrock
Streaming video technology provider Bedrock has extended the ad-free streaming service 6play max from French commercial broadcaster M6 Group to Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and LG connected TVs.
The rollout of M6’s AVOD service in France on the three new major TV devices comes a few months after the ad-free service was launched on web, mobile, Android TV, and Samsung smart TVs.
This upgrade allows 6play to reach its 25 millions active users on almost all the OTT installed bases in France, providing users with advanced features including ad-free content, Download-to-Go for offline use on mobile, HD quality, Cast to TV and a e30-day programme guide according to Bedrock.
Bedrock was formed in early 2020 as a JV between Groupe M6 and RTL Group, M6’s owner. It builds state-of-the-art streaming platforms, helping five broadcasters and media companies across four countries deliver services to 45 million users, across all screens.
