Malaysia’s Astro launches Viu app on platform
Malaysian pay TV provider Astro has expanded its streaming service offering with the addition of the Viu app on the platform.
Viu delivers Asian entertainment that includes a slate of Korean, Thai and Indonesian dramas joined by Viu Original series, Korean variety shows and more upcoming local titles.
Astro customers can access Viu on multi-screens and will receive free access to Viu Premium’s Asian content until 8 June 2023 via the Ultra Box or the Viu mobile app.
The platform also offers apps for Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, HBO GO, iQIYI, BBC Player, TVBAnywhere+, beIN Sports Connect, and the soon to be launched Zee5.
Astro customers can continue to access Viu Premium by adding it to their subscription at an exclusive offer after 8 June 2023 at RM14.90/month (RRP).
