DAZN Italy adds fitness to its streaming portfolio through Virgin Active deal

Sports streaming platform DAZN has unveiled a new fitness-based partnership with Virgin Active in Italy. The deal is the latest in a series of content-based alliances that have brought fitness and wellbeing centre stage in SVOD streaming offerings.

Under this arrangement, DAZN will offer content from Virgin Active Revolution in a dedicated fitness section on its app. Revolution consists of exclusive content created around popular Virgin Active workouts. Titles like Booty Bea, Sculpt your Body, Let it Go and Body Shape provide access to different types of workouts, from functional training to targeted toning courses, through to yoga and pilates. Altogether there are currently 2500 class available on-demand, as well as complementary podcasts.

The Virgin Active fitness content comes with its own price tag, but DAZN subscribers will get free access to it for three months. During this time, they will also be entitled to make one visit per month to a Virgin Active Club located in Italy.

At the start of 2023, Virgin Media in the UK unveiled a deal to provide its subscribers with a range of 80 fitness classes for free, covering weight training, yoga and pilates.
