Private equity firm takes stake in digital video fulfillment firm ODMedia
Dutch private equity firm Capital A Investment Partners has acquired a minority stake in international content services and media processing company ODMedia.
In a statement, the companies said Capital A will support ODMedia’s “ambitious goal of becoming the number 1 digital video fulfillment partner in the EMEA region”. Capital A will assist ODMedia’s geographical expansion through a buy-and-build strategy.
“This partnership is a significant milestone for the company,” said Sjef Pijnenburg, CEO ODMedia. “Thanks to an amazing team and our loyal client base, we have built a solid foundation. I look forward to this exciting next chapter and am confident that with Capital A, we have chosen the right partner to support ODMedia’s growth.”
ODMedia, which has its headquarters in Utrecht, provides digital media, localisation & aggregation services and has strategic partnerships with streaming platforms including Apple TV, Google Play and Netflix. Quinten Birkhoff, investment director Capital A, said: “We are impressed by ODMedia’s team and the fast-growing market in which they operate. We are excited about the newly formed partnership and look forward to supporting Sjef and his team in leading their international consolidation.”
Under this new partnership, Sjef Pijnenburg (CEO), and William Linders (CCO) will remain shareholders and in their current positions in the company. Jeroen Tielens (CFO) and Emma Geelen (COO) are entering as new shareholders.
