Planetcast promotes COO Sanjay Duda

India’s broadcast and media services provider Planetcast, has promoted COO Sanjay Duda as chief executive officer.

Duda arrived at the company in 2002 and has worked as chief operating officer for nearly five years. He will be tasked with spearheading the growth of the company, building out its cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering and its ongoing international expansion.

Since joining the company, he has played a key role in driving global growth and generating new lines of business around cloud playout, post-production, OTT, and free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST). He also helped lead the the company’s initiative Planetcast International last April  where it launched its cloud-first offering across the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.

Duda takes the leadership reigns from the founder directors, Mahendra Nath Vyas and Lalit Jain, who will continue to remain on the company’s board.
