Stranger Things leads Parrot Analytics’ UK top 10
Stranger Things continues to rule the roost in Parrot Analytics’ latest snapshot of the most ‘in-demand’ digital original content in the UK.
Parrot Analytics analyses the demand for recent popular digital titles across international markets, based on the application of artificial intelligence to expressions of demand across social media, fan sites, peer-to-peer protocols and file-sharing platforms.
Parrot’s dataset compares the demand that exists for each series in this market, against the average TV show. A difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.
For the week from January 1-7, Stranger Things, topped the Parrot list for the country, scoring 37.13 times the average TV show rating.
In a Netflix dominated top 10, Stranger Things was followed by supernatural comedy horror Wednesday and The Witcher, with ratings of 26.4 and 23.34 times the average show respectively..
Non-Netflix shows in the top 10 included Disney+’s The Mandalorian, HBO Max’s Our Flag Means Death, aired free to view on BBC iPlayer in the UK, and Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, free to view on Channel 4.
