ProSiebenSat.1 unites production subsidiaries

Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 Group is restructuring its business to bring its eight production companies and global distributor Red Arrow Studios International under the umbrella of the newly established Seven.One Studios.

The move comes following the launch of German prodcos Cheerio Entertainment and Flat White Productions in the past year, as well as the sale of Red Arrow Studio’s US production business in the summer of 2022.

The company’s eight subsidiaries in Germany, UK, Denmark and Israel include Zurück In Die Schule firm Cheerio Entertainment; A League Of Their Own label CPL Productions; Vienna Blood’s Endor Productions; Volles Haus! SAT.1 Live’s Flat White Productions; Yellow Peppers’ July August Productions; Jerks producer Pyjama Pictures; Germany’s Next Top Model firm Redseven Entertainment; and Married at First Sight’s Snowman Productions.

Joined by the Tim Gerhartz-led global sales arm Red Arrow Studios International, all of these companies will now operate under the Seven.One Studios umbrella, which will be managed by CEO Henrik Pabst, CFO Alexander Pesch and COO and Martin Metzger.

“The demand for content is only increasing. This makes it all the more important for cross-platform providers like ProSiebenSat.1 to have access to the right content and its development, including in-house production capacities,” said Pabst, who also serves as CCO of Seven.One Entertainment Group.

“By founding Seven.One Studios, we are making ourselves more independent from the competitive German production market. Our European production houses, alongside our well-established Israeli production company, remains a vital part of our business.”
