New leadership structure for Canal+ France as Cadoret leaves
Canal+ Group deputy CEO and Canal+ France boss Frank Cadoret is to leave the group on November 1, with the pay TV outfit submitting a new organisational structure for consultation.
Canal+ plans to implement a new structure that will see Christophe Pinard-legry named as CEO of Canal+ France in charge of the overall business, while Gérald-Brice Viret will be named as head of channels and programmes.
The reorganisation is aimed at enlarging the pair’s responsibilities with Pinard-Legry focusing on digital growth and heading quality projects, while Viret will lead the advertising business in France and all production of digital content.
The activities of Canal+ in Switzerland, previously the responsibility of Cadoret, will now be transferred to Canal+ International.
Both executives will report to Canal+ Group president
Maxime Saada.
“I had the pleasure of beginning my professional relationship with Frank Cadoret when he he led the residential activities of SFR, while I was director of marketing and commercial at Canal+,” said Saada.
“I had been immediately impressed by his mastery, unique in France in my view, of the creation of commercial offerings, their marketing their distribution and of customer relations. I have total confidence in Christophe Pinrard-Legry and Gérald-Brice Viret, who will have the knowledge to accelerate the development of Canal+ in France. I wish them, in the name of the Group, the greatest success with their new responsibilities.”
