Ola Steinsrud

Headed by founder Ola Steinsrud, Youlook offers over 3,000 hours of premium curated content via its seven channels. Its initial launch portfolio includes a range of genres such as hit movies and series, action and adventure, drama, comedy, sports, home, and specialized content for entertainment enthusiasts across all categories.

Youlook is working with strategic partner Stuart Entertainment and technology partners MaginePro and Wurl as it rolls out its FAST offering.

Steinsrud said “We are thrilled to be partnered by Samsung TV Plus, considered as one of the world’s most dynamic platforms in the rapidly growing FAST TV arena. We are launching an initial 7 channels across the next months, offering a diverse and curated entertainment experience that will appeal to viewers across all demos. We will offer local customised channels as part of our global strategy, focus territory by territory with local content whilst offering cherry-picked international content. We are looking forward to increasing our offer as well as our international footprint thanks to our collaboration with Samsung TV Plus.”

Tim Stuart, strategic partner, managing director and founder of Stuart Entertainment, said: “FAST channels will play a significant role in monetising TV and mid-form content over the next two to five years as more platforms and CTV providers continue to serve it as an affordable alternative for both cord-cutters and cord-nevers. This is an exciting and growing market and with an experienced team and proven video-streaming technology, Youlook is an upcoming and thriving FAST brand that Stuart Entertainment is pleased to represent”.

Separately, classical music channel Vivaldi, distributed by Canal+ Group-owned Thema, launched on the platform on October 12 in Spain and Italy. Vivaldi has been recently launched on several territories worldwide.

“Connecting more people to classical music is our daily challenge and a constant target. We are so pleased to partner with Samsung TV Plus to bring Vivaldi to a very large audience in Italy and Spain,” said Wilfried Texier, marketing director of Vivaldi channel.

“We are delighted to expand our collaboration with Samsung TV Plus by launching Vivaldi in Spain and Italy. Now Italian and Spanish audiences will be able to enjoy the very best of classical music, dance, and jazz with their Samsung devices,” said Séverine Garusso, head of distribution EMEA at Thema.

“As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality entertaining and informative content to our consumers, we are very pleased to partner with Thema, a Canal+ Group Company, to bring the best classical music to our viewers in Spain and Italy. Classical music in an easy to consume and enjoyable way totally free for Samsung CTVs and Samsung Galaxy owners,” said Ana Izquierdo Lowry, country manager business development Iberia at Samsung TV Plus.
