Kaon, Green Streams and 3SS team up for IPTV and OTT platform

Technology providers Kaon, Green Streams and 3SS have teamed up to launch a joint IPTV/OTT service platform product.

The joint offering is based on their pre-integrated end-to-end technology platform and is designed for tier two and medium-sized providers to deliver super-aggregated video services based on Android TV as well as relevant multiscreen platforms.

The new turnkey platform comprises Green Streams’ TVaaS backend platform, Kaon’s Netflix-certified set-top box and 3SS’ front and UI/UX platform, based on its 3Ready product framework.

A number of other vendors have also been pre-integrated, for example for personal recommendations or QoS & QoE analytics.

Green Streams GmbH was co-founded in 2021 by industry veteran Gernot Jaeger to deliver an IPTV and OTT backend platform that integrates with partners for key components such as frontend applications, metadata, recommendation or QoS/QoE analytics.

The 3Ready Android TV Operator Tier custom launcher, which has been deployed by over 15 service providers on STB, Dongles, Smart Speakers and TVs, enables an advanced user experience for the joint service platform, according to 3SS.

Functionality includes live TV, replay, timeshift and catch-up.
