DAA specialist Falcon V Systems names VMO2 CTO to board

Distributed access architecture (DAA) technology specialist Falcon V Systems, a Polish joint venture owned by Vector Group, Liberty Global and Charter Communications, has appointed Virgin Media O2 CTO Jeanie York to its supervisory board.

The company, which is developing software solutions for open DAA with its three principal shareholders, said that York will become a valuable European MSO representative, accelerating the company’s effort to deliver software ecosystem solutions that leverage virtualization and process automation.

York leads Virgin Media O2’s operations and engineering IT team focused on converging fixed and mobile service, enhancing the customer experience to benefit from the higher speeds and lower latency.
