Digital UK-owned Freeview has announced the launch of new content discovery tools on streaming platform Freeview Play.
Via a new update to the Explore Freeview Play TV app, users will now be presented with new recommendation genres, and a new dedicated Box Sets area.
New recommendation genres including Food, Music and Arts, Science & Nature, and History.
The platform offers over 80 live TV channels and over 40,000 hours of on demand content and 10 on demand players including BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5, UKTV Play, CBS Catchup Channels UK, Legend, POP Player, BBC Sounds, and STV Player.
Along with the UX updates, Freeview Play is also getting a visual overhaul with a dark background and larger imagery.
Owen Jenkinson, marketing director at Freeview, said: “We are continually evolving and adding new free features so we can provide excellent value to consumers. With the Women’s Euro and the Love Island final just days away, millions of us will soon be searching for our next TV obsession and these latest updates to Freeview Play will be on hand to help.”
