A rocket to Pluto – listen to the latest episode of TV Watch
The latest episode of Digital TV Europe’s podcast TV Watch is now available to stream wherever you get your podcasts.
In the latest episode, host Jonathan Easton speaks with Olivier Jollet, EVP general manager at Pluto TV international and head of mobile at Paramount about the growth of the FAST platform and the company’s ambitions going forward.
Paramount has just launched its premium SVOD service Paramount+ into the wilds of the UK and Ireland and while that is certainly the highest-profile streaming offering on Paramount’s direct-to-consumer arsenal, it is not the only trick up its sleeve.
Since acquiring the Free Ad-supported Streaming Television (or FAST) service for $340 million in early 2019, Pluto TV has grown from around 12 million monthly users to more than 68 million monthly active users who have streamed over 4.8 billion total viewing hours across 30 countries and territories.
Last month, Pluto launched across the Nordics, and has since announced a partnership with Corus to launch in Canada later this year.
TV Watch can be streamed for free via Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
