Rotana channels coming to Freeview via Channelbox

Arabic language entertainment channels from Rotana Group are to launch on Freeview, the UK digital-terrestrial service, via Channelbox.

The Middle Eastern group is bring a range of Arabic entertainment TV channels including, for the first time, Rotana Cinema and Rotana Khalijia, to the UK.

Both TV channels premium content from the largest library of Arabic movies, series and unlimited general entertainment programmes,

The services will be available via Channelbox the HbbTV-based hybrid TV platform on connected Freeview.

Channelbox says it is the only platform the connected Freeview offering linear channels the ability to monetize content via dynamic ad insertion, allowing content owners to monetize based on actual ad impressions rather than BARB ratings.

Channelbox is now also available via mobile applications.
