Amazon picks Screach for distribution of Ligue 1 to commercial venues in France
Prime Video has announced a partnership with Screach to distribute its broadcasts of French Ligue 1 football to commercial venues in France.
Screach is a cloud-based streaming and ad platform that allows venues to access HD events via subscription or pay-per-view. It is available in 157 countries, based out of the UK and has a major partnership in place with the NFL in Poland.
Prime Video is in the first year of its broadcast rights deal with Ligue 1. The streamer broadcasts 80% of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches, broadcasting over 600 fixtures per season.
Robert Rawlinson, CEO of Screenreach, said: “Amazon’s decision to partner with us is great news, both for us as a business and for commercial venues in France. Screach’s technology offers a turnkey solution for rights holders such as Amazon who recognise the value of the enterprise space, both as a source of commercial subscriptions as well as a powerful way to reach individual fans.
“The Screach platform was designed and built to help venues gain access to more live sports content at the best prices and help them get payback on their investment.”
