Euskaltel adds support for Chromecast to TV app

Spanish regional cable operator Euskaltel, now owned by MásMóvil, has launched a new version of its Edonon TV app that incorporates support for Chromecast, enabling users to send content direct from their mobile or tablet to the TV.

The reversioned app includes access to 30 live channels and more content available on the Replayteka video-on-demand offering.

Other new functionalities include follow-me functionality, with the synchronisation of the app between different devices in the home enabling users to start watching content on one device where they left off on another.

The app also allows users to record content from the app on their set-tops and vice-versa, enabling them to view content later on their mobile devices or on the main TV.

The app also enables existing functions such as a seven-day catchup offering for over 80 channels.

The new version of the app is compatible with Android 5.0 and above, iOS 9 and abo e, Windows Chrome 45 and above, Firefox 40 and above and Internet Explorer 9 or above.
