Beeline TV at 3 million users for Veon
Russian pay TV service Beeline is at 3 million active users, Veon has announced.
Veon announced a year-over-year increase of 23.6% in terms of Russian users to a total of 3 million Beeline customers. The operator, which is based in Amsterdam, said that the growth reflected an expanded content offer, targeted customer propositions and the introduction of a new advanced customer recommendation engine.
In Kazakhstan where Beeline also operates, monthly active users increased by 50% YoY to 2.3 million. The company’s dedicated digital operator and mobile OTT services provider ‘Izi’ also saw growth, rising to approximately 63,000 monthly active users by the end of 2Q21.
Veon has also seen positive performance in Ukraine, where MyKyivstar ended Q2 with 3 million subscribers (up 91% YoY).
Other digital businesses around the world performed well, including JazzCash with 13 million monthly active users (+61% YoY), and Toffee TV in Bangladesh at 5 million monthly active users from launch in November 2019.
