Allente names new CFO
Allente, the joint venture between Telenor and Nordic Entertainment combining the former Canal Digital and Viasat pay TV platforms, has named Helge Ølsen as its new chief financial officer.
Ølsen was previously CFO of Telenor Myanmar, having earlier held roles in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations within Telenor Group. He will take up his new post on September 1.
Allente’s acting CFO Ivan Busk Ginnerup will revert to his previous role of business and financial control director when Ølsen take up his post.
The role of CFO became vacant when the previous holder of the position, Jonas Gustafsson, was named as Allente’s new CEO about a year after the merger of Canal Digital and Viasat Consumer.
“Helge Øien’s background and broad competence is the perfect match for Allente when we take the next step in our growth journey and broaden our offer during the autumn. Helge will join a young, successful company with a fantastic team, and we wish him a warm welcome,” said Gustafsson.
“Taking a step into the fast-moving TV industry will be an exciting challenge, which I am very much looking forward to. Allente is a company with great ambitions, which had a flying start despite being founded in the middle of a pandemic, and I am delighted to now be able to participate and continue to build the company,” said Øien.
