Sky Deutschland launched internet-only version of Sky Q
Sky Deutschland has launched its advanced TV service, Sky Q, on the internet, giving subscribers the option to take the service without a cable or satellite connection.
The service in Germany includes access to over 80 channels, including the main free TV services and the full range of Sky and partner channels.
It also includes access to catch-up and on-demand services, with subscriptions available from €12.50 a month.
The platform also offers complete series seasons from the likes of HBO, Showtime and Sky itself.
The internet offering comes with a new small form-factor base. Sky says that customers will need a minimum internet connection of 6Mbps to view its service.
Sky Q customers can sign up for extra premium packages including Sky Fußball Bundesliga for €12.50 and Entertainment Plus/Netflix for €7.50.
Ben Case, SVP of Sky TV at Sky Deutschland, said: “With the Sky Q IPTV Box, we now offer the fantastic Sky Q TV experience very easily via a broadband Internet connection.
