Free launches OQEE app
French service provider Free has launched a new app for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets that gives subscribers to its Freebox Pop and Freebox Delta offerings access to OQEE by Free, the TV service it launched to complement the Freebox Pop.
The OQEE by Free app provides subscribers to both box offerings with access to all OQEE by Free services on their mobiles as part of their subscription.
The service provides access to 550 channels of which 220 are included in the basic subscription for Freebox Pop customers and 280 for Freebox Delta customers.
The service also provides access to a large number of catch-up TV services, and permits up to five devices to be connected simultaneously.
Free customers can also access to service anywhere in the EU.
Most of the functionality available on the set-top is also available on the mobile app, including cloud DVR with up to 100 hours of recording time.
Free launched the Freebox Pop a year ago, and the device forms one of the operator’s two main offerings alongside the higher end Freebox Delta.
