Friend MTS names key execs

Content security specialist Friend MTS has named John Ward as EVP, Americas and Andrew Shindler as general counsel.

Ward will be responsible for creating and managing both the sales and operations across North and South America. Most recently, he served as CTO for iNDEMAND, the US cable consortium, where he was responsible for the distribution of premium VOD and PPV entertainment to more than 200 North American TV operators.

He has also worked foxr Deluxe Creative Services, AT&T Mobility & Entertainment and DirecTV among others.

Shindler was previously partner for Locke Lord (UK) LLP, where he represented clients in technology. He has also served as partner and head of IT at the European law firm, SJ Berwin LLP, latterly part of King & Wood Mallesons.
