Telia launches combined entertainment and 5G+ offering
Nordic telecom operator Telia has launched a new entertainment offering that brings together Netflix, C More and 5G+ mobile connectivity with unlimited data.
Telia said that the offering was designed to enable customers to watch movies, series, and entertainment regardless of where they spent their time in the summer.
The new service, launched on June 1, includes a new phone subscription with SVOD service Netflix and Telia’s own Nordic pay TV offering C More along with 5G+ unlimited data, which it says is unique in the market.
The offering will cost SEK499 (€49) in the first year, and SEK659 for the second year. Telia’s 5G network is now available in over 20 cities around Sweden. Those who already have a Netflix subscription can keep their previous account.
“In connection with the acquisition of Bonnier Broadcasting, we said that we wanted to combine the best network coverage with the best content – which we now do. Nowadays, entertainment is crucial in our lives. We always strive to bring our customers the best experience, so we are excited to combine C More with our expanded partnership with Netflix. This is an important step to further strengthen our offering and give our customers what they want,” said Anders Olsson, CEO Telia Sweden.
“With Telia’s nationwide network and Netflix’s variety of content, we have created something together that feels both unique and natural. The launch of this partnership is part of our increased focus on the Nordic region, and we are looking forward to please even more people with our big variety of local and international content,” said Patrick Danckwardt, head of business development for the Nordics at Netflix.
