Mediaset launches all-new Infinity streaming platform
Mediaset has relaunched its Infinity streaming offering as a new combined service featuring its free-to-air channels, movies and series on-demand and UEFA Champions League football.
The new Mediaset Infinity will be available on the web, smart TV and connected devices. According to the Italian media outfit, the offering will be based on an “experimental pyramid offering”, with all Mediaset network content available at the base, with the addition of new ‘digital first’ exclusive content designed for the web. The first of the latter will be debuted in the autumn.
Climbing the pyramid, Mediaset will offer movies and series on-demand, including box-sets of top international shows such as Game of Thrones in 4K as well as movies including Godzilla v Kong, Judas and the Black Messiah, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
Viewers will also be able to access an optional set of premium channels focused on series, sports, documnetaries and kids programming.
At the top of the pyramid will sit Mediaset’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League for the next three years, with 104 matches per season. The offering will include 17 free-to-view matches on Canale 5, which will also be available on the streaming service.

The full service, which does not include Italy’s Serie A football, rights to which are held by DAZN in partnership with Telecom Italia except for three matches to be broadcast by Sky, will be priced at €7.99.
