Haystack News boosts content offer with Altice deal
Ad-supported news streaming service Haystack News has entered into a content distribution agreement with Altice News.
The deal sees Haystack News launch a live stream channel of Altice-owned Cheddar News today, with plans to add News 12 New York’s content and live feed to its pipeline later this year
Cheddar News and i24NEWS have been on-demand content providers for Haystack since 2017 and 2019 respectively. This new distribution agreement continues the expansion of Haystack News’ live channel offer, which were launched six months ago. In that time, Haystack News has nearly doubled the amount of live content available, with plans for continued growth in 2021.
Daniel Barreto, Co-Founder and CEO at Haystack TV, said: “Haystack News is proud to build upon its long-standing and successful relationship with Altice News and bring to our users its quality journalism. Haystack also recognizes the critical importance the News 12 brand has for tri-state area consumers in the northeast, and we are very pleased now to expand our local news options.”
Jon Steinberg, President, News & Advertising, Altice USA, said: “Altice News is thrilled to extend our relationship with Haystack News and further expand the reach of the award-winning journalism at our networks. We believe that news content should be easily accessible to all and are excited to add our offerings of national and local networks, Cheddar News and News 12, to Haystack’s audience and growing lineup of live news channels.”
