Sky introduces Disney+ voice search in Sky Q update
Sky has announced a new update to its Sky Q STB which will introduce additional integration with Disney+.
Content from the streamer, such as the current event series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will begin to appear in broader voice and text searches on Sky Q. Shows and movies will also appear within the Sky Q interface, along with content from Netflix and Sky.
In addition Sky Q has introduced further voice innovations with a focus on accessibility. The Voice Guidance feature, which complements Voice Search, will make navigating menus easier for people with visual impairments.
Sky has also announced an improved experience for accompanying streaming platform Sky Go, including a new Continue Watching rail which allows users to resume viewing shows and movies more easily. The update also introduces a Browse by Category rail.
Fraser Stirling, Group Chief Product Officer, Sky, said: “Today marks another big moment for Sky Q as we roll out exciting new voice features. Integrating Disney+ into voice search means it’s now much easier to find more of what you love and adding voice guidance to our strong accessibility offering helps to create an even better experience for all Sky Q customers.”
