Telia Norway and NENT Group resolve carriage dispute

Telia Norway and Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) have resolved a month-long carriage dispute.

The Norweigan operator said that it has reached a distribution agreement with NENT and that its channels would be restored. 

The pair fell out at the beginning of March over Telia’s flexibility of customer choice which allows subscribers to have more control over the channels they pay for. 

However, the companies have now reached a resolution and more than 1 million viewers will regain access to TV3, V4, TV6, Viasat Nature, Explorer, History, V Sport+, V Sport, V Premium, V Film Family and V Sport Golf along with NENT’s streaming services Viaplay and Filmfavoritter.

In an effort to placate put out customers, Telia is giving subscribers an additional 25 channel points to redeem in April along with free access to Paramount+ through the month and access to 2020’s major Norwegian holocaust drama movie Betrayed.

Telia Norway CEO Stein-Erik Vellan said that this new agreement ensures choice, variety and quality with access to Norway’s broadest range of NENT content.
