Last chance to share your views for DTVE’s annual survey

Time is running out to have your say in Digital TV Europe’s annual industry survey, with the final deadline on January 31.

2020 has been a year like no other for all of us, and the COVID-19 pandemic has made its presence felt in the world of video distribution as in all other aspects of life and society.

At the same time, companies have continued to innovate with service propositions and the technologies that underpin them.

In our sixth annual industry survey, we would like to find out what the industry’s leading minds think about eight key topic areas:

Cloud-based IPTV: we want to find out about the motivations and challenges of migrating from ‘classic’ IPTV deployments to a cloud-based OTT approach.

Live-streaming:  challenges and opportunities: we want to know your views on live streaming as a replacement technology for broadcast and whether challenges can be overcome.

Android TV part 1: the evolution of an ecosystem: Android TV iis currently evolving provide a universal answer to TV operators’ needs or are there still drawbacks to going down this route to the customer?

Android TV part 2: optimisation, customisation, monetisation: We want to dig deeper to find out your views on how Android TV can the customised and how revenue-generating services can be added.

From set-tops to smart TVs: What is the future of the set-top box? Can operators implement a bring-you-own device strategy successfully?

AI, analytics and keeping the customer: How can AI and machine learning technologies best be deployed and used by operators and how well-placed are service providers to make use of the data? We want to know your views.

The piracy threat and how to fight it? Is the threat of piracy growing? How is it changing and what can service providers do to reduce the impact?

TV as an app: a revolution in content consumption: How is app-based viewing changing the way people consume video and what is the impact on the service provider proposition?

The editorial team at Digital TV Europe will turn the survey results into a report available to you in February.
