Kabelio AG selects Eutelsat Hotbird for channel launches

Switzerland’s Kabelio AG has selected Eutelsat’s Hotbird satellite neighborhood to launch a new Swiss direct-to-home HD platform.

The pair have signed a multi-year contract that will allow Kabelio to leverage the reach of the satellite to target Swiss audiences at home and throughout Europe.

The new Kabelio channel line-up was launched in mid-October and features both domestic and international channels, including 34 premium TV channels in HD. These premium channels span across entertainment, sport, news and documentaries, and are supplemented by a range of free-to-air channels in a number of European languages.
