Nordija, EKT and Verimatrix unveil joint offering Stratos
Nordic middleware provider, Nordija has teamed up with set-top-box designer and manufacturer EKT and content security specialist Verimatrix to create a new cloud-based ‘TV super bundle’ that the trio says will help telcos and TV operators remove the complexity around IPTV and OTT, and DVB-hybrid, video service delivery and enable the fast launch of cloud video services
The combined offering, called Stratos, is described as a pre-integrated, cloud-based IPTV and OTT solution that is is pre-integrated with Nordija’s video platform, enabling distribution to multiple screens via an HTML user interface, EKT’s device management, and Verimatrix’s content security.
Nordija is acting as lead integrator and operator point of contact for Stratos, which it says will provide unified pricing and an intuitive and easy way to operate the system from a single management console.
Vikram Felix, sales director EMEA at Nordija, said: ‘’I am delighted to announce this collaboration with industry leaders EKT and Verimatrix. Richard Smith, CEO at EKT, said: “EKT has been working successfully with Nordija and Verimatrix for the last few years. Bringing all of our best of breed products into a single cloud solution, with a single point of contact, was the next logical evolution and in line with the market requirements for a seamlessly integrated system to help our customers focus on gaining market share and getting more revenue.”
Geir Bjørndal, VP sales EMEA at Verimatrix, said: “We are happy to work with Nordija and EKT to help operators streamline a complex and cumbersome launch process. We support smart collaborations like Stratos that empower operators to protect video content in the cloud.”
