DNA secures hockey package in deal with Telia’s MTV

Finnish service provider DNA has struck a deal with Telia-owned Finnish broadcaster MTV to bring the latter’s Telia Liigapassi and Telia Liigapassi UHD ice-hockey channels to the DNA TV service.

The Telia League Pass includes all League games across seven channels as well as one studio-based channel. Acable package is available for DNA’s cable homes, which also includes the UHD channel. The matches of the package can be watched via catch-up TV for seven days after they are played.

DNA’s Hubi OTT service enables viewers to watch the channels over broadband. The DNA TV Hub, based on the Android operating system, combines popular television, transactional on-demand services and online TV applications, with viewing possible on multiple screens.

DNA’s cable subscribers and DNA TV Hub subscribers can also watch matches via the DNA TV mobile application.

Cable subscribers have the choice of viewing the channels through a DNA Hub box or via a traditional cable TV set-top.

The Telia League Pass can also be ordered as part of the DNA SportMix package, with a range of options that can be varied on a monthly basis on top of a basic offering of seven channels.

The SportMix offer also includes NHL, Formula 1 and Premier League and Champions League football.
