Nenda signs up Discovery Sweden to B2B streaming line-up
Swedish business-to-business streaming specialist Nenda has signed a new distribution rights agreement with Discovery Networks Sweden. Under this new agreement, Nenda will add Discovery’s large Swedish channel portfolios to its B2B streaming service.
Discovery Network Sweden owns Swedish channels Kanal 5, Kanal 9, and Kanal 11 along with Discovery Channel, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2, TLC, Animal Planet, Discovery Science, Investigation Discovery and Animal Planet, offering a mix of content including Wahlgrens Värld, Ullared, Ex on the Beach and The Big Bang Theory.
Discovery also features exclusive sport rights on its channels including the Olympic Games for 2018-2024 and the top-tier Swedish football league Allsvenskan for 2020-2025.
Nenda said the deal would enable it to market a very strong offer on a national scale to different B2B segments.
“We look forward to be working with Nenda given their interesting business models and the innovative new features they are bringing to the B2B market. This is a good way for us to let more people enjoy our strong content,” said Nicklas Norrby, CEO at Discovery Networks Sweden.
“This deal with Discovery will allow Nenda to provide an even better content portfolio and capture an even larger market share. Our team has worked hard to get where we are now in record time and this deal brings us significantly closer to fulfilling our vision of digital disruption and innovation in the B2B TV industry. With Discovery’s incredible content we will be able to further fortify our position in the B2B TV market,“ said Anders Hässel, CEO and co-founder at Nenda.
