Sky Deutschland revamps offering to ‘enhance flexibility’
Pay TV operator Sky Deutschland has redesigned its programme packages and revamped its pricing structure to give what it described as more flexibility, choice and inclusivity to customers.
For the first time, Sky customers can now choose to opt for a monthly subscription for an additional charge. The offer is open to new customers while existing contract customers can opt in after the termination of their existing contracts.
All customers will receive Sky Q as standard including Sky Go and the pay TV operator’s complete entertainment package, including Sky originals and series from Showtime, HBO, Fox and TNT.
New packages on top of the always-offered Sky Q and entertainment base include Entertainment Plus, which also includes Netflix, a Cinema pack, Football Bundesliga, Sport and Kids.
The new offers follow the announcement of an expanded programming offering last week that includes new Sky channels with over 2,000 hours of content, as well as direct access to Netflix, DAZN, pubcaster apps from ARD and ZDF, YouTube, Spotify and Disney+ from early next year.
“We promised that we would like to start a new era of television in Germany and offer an incomparable television experience: this is the next big step on this path. We promise more flexibility, more choice and more inclusivity – all together with our new programme launch. With our new packages and pricing structure, we’re making it easier and more convenient than ever for our customers to access all the content and apps they love – all in one place on the world’s leading all-in-one platform, Sky Q,” said Devesh Raj, CEO of Sky Deutschland.
