Sunrise offers accessory plans for Internet devices and TV sets
Swiss operator Sunrise has launched a number of installment plans for internet devices and TV sets in a first for the local market.
The operator has distribution deals in place with a number of brands to offer products such as Samsung TVs, Sonos Soundbars, Apple TVs and Apple iPads. Customers previously had to purchase these as one-off payments, but now Sunrise has opened up the option for monthly interest free payments through their current bills.
Sunrise now claims to be the first Swiss telecom provider to “enable its customers to buy Internet and TV devices purchased along with a Sunrise Internet subscription, and paying for them in 24 monthly installments.”
The operator said that the devices “round off the home entertainment experience” and complement the Sunrise TV neo app which can be used on up to six devices at a time.
Sunrise customers can buy up to five devices with the plan with a minimum downpayment of CHF1.
André Krause, CEO of Sunrise, said: “Thanks to our partnerships with important global manufacturers, such as Samsung and Apple, we can offer our customers the latest devices and become a central point of contact for the home entertainment solutions of our customers. We are very happy with the demand for the accessory plans, despite the challenging landscape in the past few months.Being able to support our customers beyond our core services is essential for us. The accessories plan is another means to fulfill this promise.”
