Pluto TV continues LATAM expansion with six new channels
ViacomCBS ad-supported streamer Pluto TV has announced six new channels to launch in Latin America.
The AVOD, which launched in 17 Latin American countries earlier last month, will expand with the inclusion of new channels Pluto TV Anime Acción, Pluto TV Animales, Los Archivos del FBI, Pluto TV Cine Romance, Pluto TV Cine Suspenso, and Babar.
In total, Pluto offers 36 channels in the region with promises to further strengthen its Spanish-speaking content catalog with partners like Sony, Lionsgate, Paramount, A2 Films, Leda Films, BlueAnt Media, Viz Media, Beverly Hills Entertainment, DRG, Off the Fence, Oh My Pet, New Dominion Pictures, Leda Films, Nelvana, Polar, Kinpil, and CDC.
The most prominent of the new channels is Pluto TV Anime Acción which is built off the success of Pluto TV Anime. The channel features ‘dark anime’ favourites such as Naruto, Bleach and Death Note.
Elsewhere, Pluto TV Animales features a range of programming built around animals, while Los archivos del FBI is a showcase of true crime content. The other channels – Pluto TV Cine Romance and Pluto TV Cine Suspenso – are descriptive from their titles. Lastly, Babar is entirely dedicated to the children’s character of the same name.
