Virgin Media adds to no-extra-cost channel line-up
Liberty Global-owned UK service provider Virgin Media is giving its TV customers access to a further 17 documentary and entertainment channels at no extra cost until May 16.
The operator is making channels including Alibi, Animal Planet, Eden, History and National Geographic available to all TV customers from Friday.
Virgin Media is also giving its customers free access to its ‘Get Fit Today’ app until the end of April featuring a range of workouts from Andreia Brazier, a four times Fitness Model World Champion.
Other content available includes mindfulness and wellbeing fare from Linda Hall Medication and The Honest Guys.
Over the past few weeks of the coronavirus lockdown, Virgin Media has given its TV customers access to more than 50 extra channels, including kids, entertainment and Sky offerings.
Virgin Media has also launched Entertainment Picks for Mixit TV package customers. This comes with core entertainment channels plus themed extras including Lifestyle, Drama, Documentaries and Sport Lite for £10 per month.
Virgin Media is also offering one free movie for each one purchased via its transactional VOD service until May 6.
Films available include Judy, Downton Abbey, The Lion King, Frozen II, LE Mans 66, Knives Outand The Joker.
