Parrot Analytics: Narcos surges on return of Mexico series
Netflix hit series Narcos is the biggest mover Parrot Analytics’ originals in-demand chart for the week ending February 23 in Switzerland.
Parrot Analytics analyses the demand for recent popular digital titles across international markets, based on the application of artificial intelligence to expressions of demand across social media, fan sites, peer-to-peer protocols and file-sharing platforms.
Sparked by the interest in the latest season of Narcos: Mexico, the main series surged up to third with 441,491 average demand expressions.
Unsurprisingly, Star Wars series The Mandalorian and CBS All Access original Star Trek: Picard sit in first and second place respectively with 645,997 and 572,963 respective average demand expressions.
Netflix fantasy epic The Witcher continues to prove popular in fourth with 437,931 average demand expressions. Other Netflix originals in the list include Stranger Things (sixth, 314,915 average demand expressions) and The Crown (eighth, 238,805).
Amazon Prime Video has two entries in the list – The Expanse (fifth, 349,597) and The Grand Tour (tenth, 234,405) – while regular favourites The Handmaid’s Tale and DC Universe’s Titans round out the list in seventh (259,808) and ninth (234,901) respectively.
