TDC names former Bang & Olufsen chief as new CEO

Danish telco and cable operator TDC has named Henrik Clausen as its new CEO.

Clausen, who was most recently CEO of Bang & Olufsen, has previously served as director of strategy at Telenor, CEO of Malaysia’s DiGi and CEO of Telenor Denmark.

He replaces Mike Parton, who has served as interim CEO of the Danish telco since October last year following the departure of Alison Kirkby. Parton will quit his post on February 17 but will remain as vice-chairman of the TDC board.

Kirkby is set to take over as CEO of Nordic telco Telia this month, replacing acting CEO Christian Luiga.

TDC last year reorganised into two units – TDC Net and Nuuday – covering infrastructure and services respectively.
