Pluto TV continues to build with six new channel launches

ViacomCBS’s AVOD streamer Pluto TV has announced the launch of six new channels in the UK. 

These additions take the number of channels to almost 80, up from under 30 at the beginning of the year prior to Viacom’s $340 million takeover in January.

The channels are: Pluto TV Action; Pluto TV Sci-Fi; Pluto TV Thrillers; Get.Factual; Pluto TV Family; and Strongman Champions League. All the channels launched on December 16, with Strongman Champions League launching on December 23.

Olivier Jollet, managing director Europe at Pluto TV said: “We’ve come a long way since launching in the UK in late 2018 and are now proud that we are offering our viewers more thematic channels than ever for them to enjoy wherever they are and whatever they feel like.

“We are looking forward for our audience to ending their year with our vast programming and kick-start the new decade with us.”

The new channels will serve as a non-seasonal complement to the range of festive pop-ups launched by Pluto last month.
