KPN offering Amazon Prime Video via its TV UI
Dutch service provider KPN has integrated Amazon Prime Video into its TV user interface, allowing users to access the service direct from the TV menu in what the company describes as a first for the Dutch market.
Customers that have signed up for Amazon Prime Video will be able to get direct access via the TV menu with their account detaisl. KPN is rolling the service out step by step and eill extend it to subscribers of its Telfort and SX4ALL TV services.
KPN will make the Prime Video service available to its existing IPTV customers with legacy set-tops in December, and will make it available to its recently launched advanced box in 2020.
“We are always looking for ways to make Amazon Prime Video easily available to our customers,” said Brett Ballbach, business development director at Amazon Prime Video Europe.
“It’s great that we can now offer KPN customers our wide selection of films and TV shows more easily via the Prime Video app. Prime members can enjoy Amazon Originals such as The Grand Tour, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryanand The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
