Ruwido takes TV to the Stone Age with marble remote
Ruwido has launched a new remote control made from marble.
Patterned stone in green and black with white inclusions embellish the surface of the TICTACTILE. product structure.
Ruwido said that as marble shows its versatility best when combined with different materials, the company designed the frame of the input device in natural aluminum tones, underlining the cool and clear appearance of the stone.
Carved into stone, haptic landmarks enable intuitive navigation on the 3×4 structure of the system along with voice, used as an additional interaction mechanism to support searching for known content.
“The search for natural surfaces is growing in our digital world. People are longing for a contrast to the constant accessibility and networking via technology and social media. There is a wish to touch natural textures and to look at organic shapes and materials, which we are following with our new TICTACTILE. product design”, said Ferdinand Maier, CEO, ruwido.
“ruwido’s designs are not only about integrating the latest technology within exciting input devices, they’re about the emotion of the user, the quality feeling of the pick-up and how the different interaction mechanisms are integrated to support the user’s kernel behaviour.”
Ruwido is exhibiting at IBC on stand 1.D69.
