OCS renews Canal+ deal
Orange Cinema Series (OCS), Orange’s pay-TV service, has renewed its multi-year distribution deal with Canal+.
OCS boasts more than 3.3 million subscribers, and has been distributed on Canal+ since 2012.
OCS was originally launched in 2009 and is made up of four channels. It has deals with HBO, UGC and Sony Pictures Television. The network is the French homes of hit shows such as The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.
Serge Laroye, president of OCS said: “we are delighted to have renewed our distribution agreement with the Canal+ Group, which since 2012 has been a major partner of OCS. This agreement strengthens the links between our two groups and allows us to acquire new subscribers together.”
Frank Cadoret, the managing director of Canal Plus Group in France, added: “We are delighted to continue our association with OCS, which is one of the pillars of our Cinema/Series offering.
“Our ambition is to aggregate at the same place the best premium content to offer to the largest number of subscribers.”
