Proximus revamps sports offering

Belgian telco Proximus is making its sports offering available on the web and via an app as well as merging its sports services into a single option.

The telco is making Jupiler Pro League and Proximus League football matches, along with European championships available the proximuspickx.be website and Proximus Pickx app as well as via TV. It is also merging its Belgian and international sports offerings into a single All Sports service.

The company has given subscribers to its Belgian sports option access to the international package, and vice versa, since the beginning of the month. The move enables viewers to watch all matches of the Jupiler Pro League, the UEFA Champions League, the Proximus League, the Euromillions Basketball League, and the Audi Hockey League.

On three Eleven Sports channels viewers will have access to, among other things, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, MLS, FA Cup, NBA, NFL, and UFC combat sports.

Proximus is also replacing its Proximus 11 channels, which are devoted to Belgian sports, and Proximus 11+, devoted to international sports, with 10 new channels branded as Proximus Sports.

The first of the 10 channels will offer documentaries and weekly programmes as well as live sports.

Proximus says that subscribers will pay the same monthly rate as today until March next year, after which they will be migrated to the new All Sports option with a monthly fee of €16.99.
