Xite launches on Roku in US
Interactive music service provider Xite has launched on Roku devices in the US.
The service, which provides curated options of music videos from all major and top independent music labels, along with enabling customers to set their own playlists, launched in the US at the end of last year on Comcast’s X1 Infinity platform. The service also launched earlier this year on Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV.
The launch on Roku in the US also follows the launch of Xite in the UK and Ireland earlier this month, exclusively with Samsung.
“We are very excited to launch our music video platforms on Roku devices,” said Xite co-CEO Cees Honig.
“Roku continues to lead the streaming TV market in the US and as music videos dominate overall music streaming worldwide, we see a perfect opportunity to combine those worlds and offer our music video experience on the number one streaming TV platform in the US, according to Strategy Analytics.”
