TiVo signs licencing deal with LG

TiVo has announced a global IP licence agreement with LG.

The agreement will expand upon LG’s previous Rovi patent portfolio license to also include the TiVo patent portfolio.

Arvin Patel, executive vice president and chief IP officer at TiVo said: “Our licensing agreement with LG further solidifies our long-term partnership with them. We are thrilled to be working with a leading consumer electronics brand and are excited to help further enhance their customers’ ability to discover and enjoy entertainment content on multiple devices.”

TiVo has also announced a multi-year extension of its contract with Canadian Shaw Communications. The deal extends the agreement for TiVo’s i-Guide and IP license, along with, like LG, expanding its Rovi patent portfolio IP license.
