New AVOD service for Germany

Bunto TV, a new advertising-supported video-on-demand service spealising in foreign-language series has launched commercially in the German market.

The service, formerly known as Bumerang TV, offers a range of series from countries including Turkey and Spain including Turkish historical drama Muhtesem Yüzyil– The Magnificent Century or Das Osmanische Imperium: HAREM- Der Weg zur Machtin the German version, the first time the series has been dubbed into German.

Bunto TV comes from aggregator Govinet Deutschland. The service was initially launched online in December ahead of this week’s full launch.

The service debuted is available via the web, on tablets, smartphones and smart TV.
