Eurosport Romania extends Premier League deal

Eurosport in Romania has extended its partnership with the English Premier League for another three seasons, starting 2019-2020.

Eurosport will hold exclusive TV and digital rights to England’s top-tier competition until 2022 in Romania, with fans able to watch live matches on Eurosport and Eurosport Player.

Viewers will also be able to access Premier League highlights and digital clips via Eurosport Romania’s platforms.

“The renewal of the rights clearly shows the strategic importance of the Romanian market in Discovery’s portfolio across the region, bringing the most exciting football league in the world to millions of fans across a football-mad country,” said Victoria Davies, SVP country manager Discovery Networks CEE, Mediterranean and Central Asia.

“Eurosport is proud to have contributed to the extraordinary popularity of the league since we first acquired the rights in 2013 and we are thrilled to continue this relationship for another three seasons.”
