The new deal applies to the Fox, FoxMovies, StarMovies and StarWorld channels. For the first two of these, Red Bee will also provide global online distribution services through the Red Bee Media Channel Store.

Replacing satellite and fibre connections with this internet-based signal transport solution will allow Fox to offer broadcast-grade distribution while reducing cost and setup time.

“Red Bee Media has been our trusted service provider for a long time and we are happy to continue and expand this relationship for the years to come,” said Sanjay Reina, general manager and senior vice president, Fox Networks Group Middle East.

Red Bee Media’s head of market area, Middle East, said: “We are proud to have renewed and expanded our relationship with Fox and it is a clear confirmation of the value we bring by delivering our managed services.”

Red Bee Media now provides managed services for 10 Fox-owned channels in the Middle East. The new agreement extends a long-standing relationship between the two companies.
